Berdine Nusselder is a Dutch actress and performer based in Brussels, but working also in the rest of Europe.

 

She graduated in 2011 Maga Cum Laude her training at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Brussels (INSAS),  Berdine has collaborated with many directors and played in the mains stages in Brussels (National Theater, Théâtre des Martyrs, Théâtre des Tanneurs, Balsamine Théâtre, Varia Théâtre, Théâtre de l'Océan Nord, but also in numerous national stages. in France (CDN de Thionville, or in Paris at the Théâtre de la Tempête, in Switzerland (Comédie de Genève, Théâtre de Carouge, Nuithonuit a Friborg, TPR L'Heure Bleue de la Chaud de Fond), At the Théâtre National de Zagreb, the Théâtro India In Rome, Theater Gil Vicente in Coimbra, and also, and with the greatest pleasure in her country of birth, The Netherlands (Verkadefabriek Den Bosch, Stadschouwburg Groningen, Utrecht, Arnhem, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Eindhoven, Zwolle, Bellevue in Amsterdam… etc).

 

She played the title roles in Miss Julie de Strindberg, Nora in Ibsen’s  A Doll’s House, Léone in Combat de Nègres et de Chiens by Koltès, Marie in Buchner’s  Woyzeck, Jessica in JP Sartre’s Dirty Hands for which she was nominated ‘Best Female Hope’ in 2014.

 

She frequently collaborates with Philippe Sireuil, Jean-Marie Piemme who wrote the monologue King Lear 2.0 for her, Raven Ruëll, Thibaut Wenger, Gian Manuel Rau, Armel Roussel, Aurore Fattier, Laurent Plumhans and Christine Delmotte.

For cinema and television, we recently saw her in the Flemish serie Familie or in the film Rupture Pour Tous.

She also plays in pieces intended for young audiences, including Bekdichtzitstil / Taistoibougepas.

Berdine has directed two solos: Le Paysage, based on the poem by Hugo Claus, and Levensbewijs / La Preuve être en Vie, of which she is also the author.

 

Besides, she holds a Bachelar in Performing Arts from the University of Paris 8, and the Gold Medal in Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). She’s trilingual in French, English and Dutch, and works in these three languages.

 

She’s a huge fan of travelling, and exploring new things. Berdine loves to read, to dance, to dream, and to make dreams come true.

She practices yoga and is also a certified hatha yoga teacher.
